Why Clay does what he does: Clay leads to inspire confidence in others so their potential is unleashed.
Since joining the firm in 1986, Clay has served in several roles. As an insurance agent he serves his business and personal clients. As a member of the executive team he is active in the leadership of the agency serving as CEO and Visionary. Clay’s clients appreciate his sense of urgency and placing their needs above his own. With a concentration in the real estate industry, Clay’s clients value his knowledge of their coverage needs and matching them with insurance companies that fulfill those needs.
Clay also lives out his Sense of Purpose by working to unite the Insurance Industry to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Since 2011 he has led the Insure the Cure initiative which has raised over $1,800,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Clay grew up in Atlanta and attended The Lovett School before majoring in Finance/Business Administration at Stetson University. He is married to Lori and has three children, Blake, Walker and Emily.

Driving a learning culture, I enjoy helping teams simplify the complex. I strive to demonstrate professional leadership while critical communication traits are prioritized. I am inspired to listen intently and assist teams in identifying priorities while they invest in their own development.
Throughout my sales leadership career, striking the right balance between the art and science of sales has made a difference in making what may have been a mediocre performance and turned it into something special. Focusing on a strong discipline to a sales process and respecting all sales engagement practices will result in a consistent marketing message, integrated and tracked client communications, activities analytics and guided selling. Leading these consistent activities has resulted in achieved goals, reliable customer intuition and raving fan clients.
Residing in Atlanta, GA and an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, I live with a houseful of golden retrievers and enjoy traveling, reading and community service work.
Why Eric does what he does: By engaging in the lives of others, Eric is inspired by helping others to be better today than they were yesterday.
Eric specializes in establishing complex risk management programs with emphasis on Employment Practices, Property, Casualty, Umbrella, and Worker’s Compensation. He also assists clients in evaluating large deductible and captive programs.
Eric has been in the insurance industry since 1998. He began his career as an underwriter with The Hartford before transitioning to the broker side of the business in 2002.
Eric grew up in Connecticut and graduated from University of Vermont. Eric and his wife Alena have two children Isabela and Daniel.
Why Steve does what he does: He lives to encourage others to find significance so that many are impacted for positive change.
Steve currently leads our Commercial Lines Department who he believes are some of the finest people in the insurance industry because they have purpose around a proven process in helping clients find solutions to complex problems. Steve grew up in Stone Mountain and attended Clarkston High School before majoring in Risk Management and Insurance at UGA. He attends Northpoint Community Church with his wife, Jana and their 2 daughters, Ansley and Jordan.
Why Billy does what he does: He challenges others to pursue feedback because the pursuit of truth is the most meaningful part of the process.
In 2002, Billy began designing, implementing and educating employers on partially self-funded medical plans. While he is thankful for his technical knowhow, he attributes his success in sales to asking thought provoking questions. The solution tends to present itself, once the right issue has been identified.
By 2011, he moved to Snellings Walters to head their Employee Benefits Division and was inspired to help the agency build, nurture and perpetuate an organization that attracts highly engaged employees. Billy was nationally recognized for winning Broker of the Year by BenefitsPro magazine and credits his success to working for an organization that exploits his strengths and invests in his weaknesses. Due to the significant role he plays in leading an agency that ranks among the highest engaged work forces in the US, Billy welcomed the invitation to become an owner of Snellings Walters in 2018. Today he is responsible for the development and execution of Snellings Walters’ vision and fostering an engaging environment so tomorrow’s leaders will successfully perpetuate his privately held company.
Born and raised in Dunwoody, GA, he is the youngest of 5 children. After graduating from Marist School, he attended Mount Saint Mary’s College and graduated with a degree in Business and Economics. He and Allie were married in 2006 and live in Roswell with their children, Sean, Ryan, Caroline and Jacob. They are active parishioners at St. Brigid Catholic Church and in his free time, you will find Billy playing with his kids or golfing.
Why Chip does what he does: Chip identifies with and embraces Snellings Walters’ value-driven purposes. Chip seeks to engage and develop relationships based on trust, respect and competency in and amongst his fellow associates, his valued insurance company representatives and the clients he serves. He is committed to continually improving his skill set, examining and challenging himself to steadily grow as an insurance broker, a husband, a father, a mentor and a friend.
For over 33 years, since 1986, Chip has worked diligently to be an advocate and professional advisor for his wide variety of commercial clients. Chip specializes in the design and placement of the most favorable property & casualty insurance & risk management programs achievable in the marketplace.
Chip strongly believes in industry continuing education and is consistently striving to learn and grow so that he can use his knowledge in the design of clients insurance & risk management programs. He has several professional designations including Certified Insurance counselor (CIC), certified risk manager (CRM), associate of risk management (ARM), certified professional insurance agent (CPIA) and certified workers comp professional (CWCP).
Chip grew up in metro Atlanta and graduated with an undergraduate degree in risk management from the Terry college of Business at the University of Georgia. Chip and his wife Tammy have two grown sons. They make their home in Marietta and are active in North Metro Church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and other charitable causes.
Why Chip does what he does: To help free people up to pursue their personal and professional passions and see them accomplish things they thought not possible.
Over the past 20 years he has become an integral ingredient in his client’s growth and success as he is a resource for property and casualty, employee benefits, and surety bonds.
Chip enjoys working with clients and prospects to design the most effective blend of protection, risk retention, and pricing for the long term. He is part of short and long term planning in forecasting the impact growth and changes in corporate direction will impact current programs and the overall organization.
Chip is a graduate of Mars Hill College and is a native of and still resides in Dunwoody. He is active in his local church, coaching, and community affairs. He is proud to be married to his lovely wife Stacey and to be the father of his children Alex and Charis.
Why Allan does what he does: Allan’s mission is to utilize God’s gifts to serve Him and others.
Allan graduated from the University of Georgia’s Risk Management program in 1995 and has served the insurance industry as a continuing education instructor, a volunteer leader within the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, ultimately serving as President of IIAG from 2016-2017. Outside of the insurance industry, Allan has served his community through his involvement with St. Clements Catholic Church, Boy Scouts of America, CURE Childhood Cancer, and a variety of youth swim teams. Allan now leads SWIA’s Northwest Georgia office in Calhoun, GA where he lives with his wife, Melanie, and their children Brandon, Bella, and Brayden.
Why Tara does what she does: To encourage others to challenge adversity and achieve their goals.
As a consultant, Tara believes it is her responsibility to challenge the traditional market approaches that continuously lead to status quo results. She looks to help change the way organizations approach their medical benefit offerings. She has been able to accomplish this by introducing her clients to new and unique strategies in an effort to contain their costs, manage compliance, and by teaching them to actively engage their workforce.
In her spare time, she can either be found cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs or somewhere outdoors enjoying the sunshine. Tara and her husband, Patrick, love to travel and spend time with their family and friends.
Why McCay does what he does: He enjoys working with clients to help them grow their business and believes building strong, trusting relationships is essential to a successful partnership. “It is extremely gratifying when a plan comes together and we get to witness the positive impact it has for our client’s business. Thinking out of the box and finding a solution to a client’s problem is what we are here to do”.
Since 2002, McCay has worked with commercial clients to improve their commercial insurance program. Over the last several years, McCay and his team have developed a passion working with entrepreneurs and start up business’s that see a need in their own industry. Recognizing a void that needed to be filled in the insurance industry, McCay developed the Connect Team at Snellings Walters to be an advocate for small new business owners that “wear many hats”. The Connect Team guides clients through the details of what is important and how to navigate the buying process for both start up and established companies.
McCay grew up in metro Atlanta and graduated from Ole Miss in 2001 before coming back to the Atlanta area. Before joining Snellings Walters in 2018, McCay was a partner in another reputable insurance firm in Atlanta before it was acquired in 2016. He enjoys spending time with his children, traveling, and living an active lifestyle outdoors.
Chris encourages his clients to constantly challenge the “status quo” in search of a better way and more efficient process, providing programs that attract and retain the highest quality of human capital.
Since 1994, Chris has looked for opportunities for his clients to get beyond product and price, for the VALUE received is much more important.
Chris attended The Lovett School in Atlanta before continuing on at the University of Colorado, ultimately graduating from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida where he resides with wife Jill and children Reid, Mark, Mary Anne, Robin and Jonathan. He serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club, Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE), and is involved with the Sigma Chi Fraternity to help build better men. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Why Leigh does what she does: To simplify her clients lives by giving them peace of mind.
Leigh joined Snellings Walters in 2008 after spending 3 years in the Banking industry. Her specialty at Snellings Walters is Personal lines Insurance sales. She graduated from The University of Georgia in 2005 with a degree in Psychology. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority while at UGA. She has since earned her Certified Insurance Counselor Designation (CIC). In her spare time she enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with family. Leigh and her husband Todd are proud parents to their son Bennett and daughter Addison.
Why Cameron does what he does: He enjoys educating and mentoring others so they can make informed decisions to pave their way toward success and prosperity. He strives to make a difference in helping people understand what they are buying when selecting to work with a Commercial Insurance Adviser
Cameron grew up in Greater Atlanta earning is B.B.A degree in Risk Management Insurance from the University of Georgia in 1999 and as such committed himself to the Property and Casualty industry. In 2005, he earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
He thrives on identifying each client’s unique exposures to loss and implementing a risk management action plan to address these loss exposures. He is of the mindset that insurance is only one of the many mechanisms used to help protect his clients’ assets.
Cameron has been involved in various community service organizations throughout his career. When not working, Cameron enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
Wezly is originally from South Africa and was recruited as a student athlete to attend Young Harris College. After graduating he recruited for the college as he was passionate about his experience as a student. Wezly moved into the insurance industry and worked in personal lines with State Farm. He joined Snellings Walters in 2017 as the firm’s core values aligned with how Wezly wanted to move forward in his career. Wezly’s areas of specialty include Property & Casualty, Workers Compensation, and Surety. He is passionate about helping business leaders feel confident about their insurance program and be in a better position than they were before.
In his spare time Wezly and his wife Kelsey enjoy spending time with family and friends. He is also involved in both playing and coaching soccer. He is passionate about the sport and enjoys giving back to the game.
Why Tina does what she does: Tina leads our client-focused Personal Lines team and is passionate about earning trust, keeping an eye on the big picture, and only giving advice she’d offer her own family. She enjoys finding the simplest solution for clients with complex needs.
Beginning as an underwriter for a major carrier, she’s been in the insurance industry for 18 years, with the most recent 12 as a dedicated GA independent agent. She studied Risk Management at Georgia State. Tina resides in Decatur with her wife, Sally, and their 12-year-old son, Rowan.
Why Barbra does what she does: To inspire confidence, balance, and long term health through positive guidance and personal consistency.
Barbra has been a sales consultant in client development and management for over 9 years. She works to encourage higher expectations of service and to be proactively involved with her clients. She finds her passion in both learning and teaching – it is her ambition to bring clarity to the complicated nature of health insurance. Barbra aims to form environments where it is safe and comfortable to speak candidly around business constraints.
Barbra and her husband, Wade, are delighted new parents living in Johns Creek, GA. Barbra enjoys cooking, exploring Georgia’s hiking trails, and traveling.
Why Ralph does what he does: Coaching people towards excellence in their business and personal life, and helping people achieve their dreams while protecting their assets is Ralph’s passion.
With 25 years’ experience in International Manufacturing, his expertise and business acumen enables pinpoint focus to improve our clients business and bottom line results. Dedicated to many things; Cyber/Data/Network Liability is one of them. For the past 10 years, Ralph’s been moderating and speaking at dozens of conferences on Cyber Liability & Data Breach Risk Management. Ralph hosts educational seminars on Cyber Crime exposure for associations and all industries including Operational & Intellectual Technology Professionals.
Ralph is the Executive Committee Chairman for Tech400 and Annual Cyber Symposium, is an advisor to the Atlanta Electronic Crimes Task Force, and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He is a member of various organizations including the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Technology Association of Georgia, German American Chamber of Commerce and several special interest groups.
Ralph graduated from Villanova University and serves in the local alumni chapter, he and his wife Susan are residents of Roswell where they are both active in the community.
Why Tracy does what she does:To lead a fully engaged and accountable life in order to bring the best out of people, even when they don’t see it in themselves.
Tracy has worked in the insurance industry for 10 years and joined Snellings Walters in 2012. Tracy is currently pursuing her Group Benefits Administration Designation (GBA). She is passionate about bringing truthful engagement and leading others to find their true passion. Tracy desires to help her team be honest, direct and efficient through mentoring and accountability.
Tracy resides in Kennesaw, GA with her husband Chad. Tracy pursues bodybuilding at the competitive level and enjoys traveling as well as spending time outdoors with friends.

Will graduated from The University of Georgia in 1971 and began his insurance career with Cook, Virden and Pharr, Inc. in Atlanta. He founded W. S. Pharr & Company in 1989 which served business, personal and benefit clients for over twenty years. He has been active in the Atlanta and Georgia Associations of Independent Agents as well as the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. Pharr’s advises clients with complex exposures to Liability and Workers Compensation with a focus on outcomes results. He is currently active in the Madison Morgan Cultural Center, the Morgan County Conservancy, and the Madison First United Methodist Church. His wife Diane and he have two children in college.
Why Sandra does what she does: To promote cohesiveness using communication, cooperation and the instillation of trust. She thrives on helping others grow and achieve more than they thought possible.
Sandra has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years and joined Snellings Walters in 2007. She is leading on Procedures, Workflows and Training. Sandra is a member of North Point Community Church and resides in Johns Creek with her son Adam. Her oldest son Ryan serves in the Navy and is currently stationed in Lemoore, CA.
Why Blake does what he does: He strives to help others reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Blake Snellings is a Commercial Lines Client Executive for Snellings Walters Insurance Agency. Blake started his career at FCCI Insurance Group working as a Commercial Lines Underwriter before transitioning to the agency side. His underwriting experience gives him a unique understanding of the underwriting process, coverage forms, and the commercial insurance marketplace.
Blake grew up in Sandy Springs and graduated from The University of Georgia in 2015 with a degree in Risk Management & Insurance. He currently lives in Brookhaven and enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and playing golf.

A native of Georgia, Chris Graduated from Georgia College & State University with a triple major in Accounting, Marketing, and Management. In 2010, he began his career in public accounting as a risk management auditor. In 2014, his desire for growth led him to find Snellings Walters Insurance Agency. Snellings Walters core values aligned where he wanted to take his career. As a benefits consultant, Chris enjoys the complexities of the healthcare market and believes in asking the right questions to identify issues, so together solutions can be found. He enjoys implementing creative insurance methods to help companies control costs and improve benefits for their employees.
Chris and his wife, Betsy, live in Roswell, Georgia. He and Betsy love spending time with family, paddle boarding on the Chattahoochee, attending date night shows at the Fox Theater, and living a healthy & active lifestyle.
Chris’ experience in the Employee Benefits Industry began as a Carrier Representative before transitioning to the broker side. His experience on the carrier side gives him an in-depth understanding of products, underwriting processes and the competitive landscape.
Chris grew up in Johns Creek, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Marketing degree and an emphasis in Professional Selling. He is also an Eagle Scout. Chris is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoys traveling, concerts and spending time with friends and family.
Why Tom does what he does:
After graduating from The University of Georgia with a major in Risk Management & Insurance, Tom started his career on the carrier side where he received extensive product training and experience working with underwriters and brokers. Tom was drawn to Snellings Walters after learning about the company’s core values and unique approach to client engagement.
Tom is a relationship driven individual that finds joy in bringing solutions to complex problems, particularly in the area of healthcare cost containment. Outside of his passion for helping employers control their medical spend, he also loves live music, comedy, Atlanta/UGA sports teams, and traveling to new places (especially if there is a beach involved). Tom is a native of Atlanta who grew up in Marietta, GA, and now lives in the Virginia Highlands area of the city.
Why Camille does what she does: To help others attract and retain talent, to match benefit plans to core values, and use available data to improve the decision making for the long term benefit of staff.
Camille continues to strive to provide outstanding service and accountability to her clients through passionate engagement. This can be seen in her Why Statement: “To show love to my family, colleagues and clients so these people know I can be counted on and not be judgmental. I will do this by keeping God, Scripture and time honored values at the forefront of all activities in which I engage.”
Camille resides in West Cobb County with her partner, best friend and husband Danny. With two grown children in the Atlanta area, Tripp a software engineer and Megan also in the insurance industry, Camille strives to spend time with her favorite people whenever possible.
Al has been active in the financial services industry for forty years. He was a principal with Peachtree Planning and General Agent with the Guardian. He has advised Snellings Walters professionals since 1978.
Al holds the CLU and ChFC designations. He graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts. Following three years of active duty as an officer in the U. S. Air Force, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
He is past president and an active member of the Atlanta Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society of Financial Services Professionals. In 2000, he was awarded the Harry I. Davis Distinguished Service Award by the Atlanta Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. The award is presented annually to a person actively engaged in the financial services business and recognizes outstanding services rendered.
Al has been a frequent speaker to numerous industry groups throughout the Southeast and has been a presenter at the National Forum of Financial Services Professionals. He has published articles and has been quoted in periodicals including Business Week and Smart Business.
Al and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, Tim Robertson and Anne Peden Watts and three grandchildren.
