What is Insure the Cure?

Over 30,000 Americans are impacted by cystic fibrosis, which is a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that affects every organ in the body and makes breathing difficult. Although there is currently no cure, we are on a mission to change that. 

Since 2011, the Atlanta insurance community has come together to form Insure the Cure and walk in the Great Strides walk in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

What Insure the Cure Means to Us 

Cystic fibrosis hits close to home for us at Snellings Walters. Clay Snelling’s daughter, Emily, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just three months old. Although diagnosed with this disease, she carries a positive attitude and is determined to make a difference for not only herself but for others who also have cystic fibrosis. That’s why we stride – for children like Emily to have more tomorrow and hope for the future.

That being said, we are dedicated to finding a cure and giving back to the community by coming together with Great Strides. Since the start of Insure the Cure in 2011, the Atlanta insurance community has raised over $2.6 million to fuel the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year, our Snellings team has a fundraising goal of $100,000, and we believe that if we come together, we have the power to put an end to cystic fibrosis. 

How You Can Help Make a Difference 

We would love for you to join hands with us and walk with Insure the Cure on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Suwanee Town Center. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m., and we will begin walking at 9:30 a.m. You can sign up here for a day full of music, food, and good people. We would also love your help with reaching our fundraising goal of $100,000. You can join our fight to add tomorrow to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis and support a walker here.
