Passion Day 2022: Giving Back to Our Community
At Snellings Walters, we are passionate about giving back to our community and we strive to work on incorporating that into our company values. We created a “Passion Day” where our team has the opportunity every year to take a day off from work and volunteer at any organization of their choosing.
Below are a few highlights of how our employees have given back to the community this year.
Natalie was able to cook and serve dinner with her daughter at Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter in Cartersville.
Sandra volunteered for the Rockingham Housing Authority with her sorority, Iota Phi Lambda, to help provide affordable public housing programs for low-income families, seniors, and persons with disabilities.
Our Cristo Rey Jesuit High School students volunteered at the Community Assistance Center Food Pantry where they helped make and prepare food with some of our team members.
Ruth, Cheryl, Alexis, and Whitney joined Advocates for Bartow’s Children and hosted a Christmas movie event (Elf) at Sam Smith Park for underprivileged children in the Bartow area.
Chip volunteered at The Chatham House which is a part of Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc., which provides care and housing for adults with developmental disabilities. He was able to get out and clean the gutters, wash the windows, rake the yard, and pressure wash the concrete areas.
Not only do we have fun with our team members, but we are also thankful for the opportunity to serve our communities!
