SWIA Internship Program

Our paid internship program offers practical, real-world, fast-paced experience at one of Georgia’s finest Agencies; also, the 2022, 2023, & 2024 winner of the Marsh Berry Max Performer Award. We are a values-driven culture, invest in our people, and have dozens of programs in place to support that growth is personal. The ten (10) week internship begins in June.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Learning the Agency Management System, Applied (EPIC)
• Gain insight into a variety of different areas within Snellings Walters and learn about the insurance operations
• Access to additional training to complement your professional development: Commercial Lines P&C, Personal Lines, and Benefits
• Working side-by-side with our commercial lines service teams as they handle client needs; endorsements, change requests, auto ID cards, policy binders, etc.
• Learning proper agency procedures and standards
• Participate in weekly EOS L-10 meetings and agency-wide activities

Qualifications: 

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in many majors will be considered
• Students who are completing their Sophomore or Junior year with an anticipated graduation within the next two years.
• Must live or reside in the Atlanta area to be in-office every day
• Approximate work availability from June through August (10-12 weeks) required
• Leadership experience through work or involvement in community service, athletics, clubs, or other activities preferred
• Willingness to show initiative but also knows how to work in a team
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning
• Confident computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
