Why Billy does what he does: To pursue truth, instill trust, and inspire personal and professional growth
With a career spanning more than two decades, Billy has built a foundation for success through experience, character, and passion. As Chief Executive Officer, he continues to build on Snellings Walters’ legacy and create a new generation of leaders who are bold and innovative.
With his commitment to exceptional performance, operational excellence, employee engagement and culture, the firm has earned recognition in 2022 as MarshBerry National MAX Performer as the best independent insurance agency in the US, as well as an invitation to join Assurex Global, an exclusive partnership of 100 most prominent independent agents and brokers in the world. He also currently serves as a Board Member of United Benefits Advisors, a top-ranked global independent employee benefits advisory organization.
Under Billy’s leadership, the Snellings’ team has been energized by three agency differentiators: personal growth, alignment, and proven process. This has enabled the firm to sustain the highest employee engagement scores in the industry and achieve record sales that have eclipsed the market. During his decade-plus tenure at Snellings Walters, Billy set the firm on a path of ambitious growth by changing the business approach and leveraging the strengths of its people. His leadership path was elevated in 2021 when he became Chief Sales Officer and committed to doubling the organization over a 5-year period. Billy was named Broker of the Year by BenefitsPRO Magazine in 2018, and he transformed the Employee Benefits Division at Snellings.
Billy gained a foundation of experience as a Senior Group Sales Representative with a Fortune 100 company. Over the course of 9 years, he honed his ability to engage clients in truthful forthright conversations and develop solutions to elevate their business.
Born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia, Billy is a graduate of the Marist School, and Mount Saint Mary’s College with a degree in Business and Economics. He currently lives in Roswell with his wife and four children. He is an active parishioner at St. Brigid Catholic Church, and in his free time, you will find Billy playing with his kids or golfing.
