Eric Haglund joined Snellings Walters Insurance Agency in 2024, where he continues to design benefit and retirement plans for mid-market clients. He brings over 36 years of industry experience, having earned numerous awards from group insurance carriers, ancillary and voluntary benefits providers, and life and disability carriers.
Prior to joining Snellings Walters, Eric was the founder of Georgia Benefits, Inc., which he launched early in his career. In 2010, he merged the group benefits division with Digital Insurance, later rebranded as OneDigital. Over the next 14 years, OneDigital grew to over 4,000 employees, while Georgia Benefits continued to offer a broad range of services, including individual health insurance, Medicare supplements, annuities, and life and disability insurance for individuals and business owners.
Georgia Benefits initially focused on individual health plans before evolving into a company that specialized in group benefits. Eric later expanded its offerings to include retirement plans, individual life and disability insurance, as well as long-term care insurance.
Eric began his career in the insurance industry at an association health plan, shortly after graduating from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 1988 with a degree in marketing.
Eric has been married to his wife Susan since 1992. They have two adult daughters, Sydney and Emily, and a dog named Elvis.
